Meet Robert Erickson:

Chef Robert Erickson

Robert worked for us previously and has returned to the Shelburne and the peninsula. He loves working with the products of our region. His creative and balanced approach are a joy to watch.

Robert Erickson is a native of Denver, Colorado. He started out in the restaurant business as a dishwasher, working for his Mom, who was a Chef at Simm’s Landing restaurant, in Lakewood, Colorado. He took the job because he was tired of getting up at 5 am to deliver the Rocky Mountain News.
          Chef Erickson is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. He has worked at Le Cirque in New York City, Maxim’s in Paris, Spago in Los Angeles, Normandy French restaurant in Denver, Sun Valley Resort in Idaho, Keystone Resort in Colorado, Chez Jeannette in Lincoln City, Oregon, Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado and Atwater’s in Portland, Oregon. He has also owned his own restaurant in Moscow, Idaho, called the Roadhouse.
Chef Erickson was featured on the Food Network on the program Great Chefs of the West in 2001. He is the recipient of three gold and two silver medals in culinary competitions: Culinary World Cup, Newport Seafood and Wine Competition, Custom Northwest Sauce and Soup Championships.
          Robert is married to wife, Pam and has two daughters, 5 step children, two grandkids and two cats.
